The Bitter End on The Wild Atlantic Way
The Bitter End is the new addition to Kilcoe Cottage. It is a one bedroom annex attached to our 1850’s farmhouse. Small but perfectly formed it has one bedroom upstairs with either two single beds or one super-king bed. The bathroom is en-suite and is a wet room, literally. To fit in the space we have used innovative design features such as a corner loo, mini heated towel rail and velux window. The fabulous rose shower head sits front and centre. This means a bit of a wipe down after showering but it’s worth it if you want to avoid soggy shower curtains slapping against your legs. Even the loo roll holder is waterproof.
Downstairs the living area has a pull out couch if an extra bed is needed, flat screen TV with Sky, and a wood burning stove so tiny it’s called the Pipsqueak. The mini kitchen is built in under the stairs and has a two burner hob, convection oven/microwave, mini Belfast sink, dishwasher and fridge. It has everything you need to whip up the perfect meal. The split farmhouse door leads to a sunny south facing patio just for you. The staircase is alternate tread. This is not for the faint-hearted as it is quite steep. This should be kept in mind if you are considering a stay with us. The pictures are taken with a fish-eye lense to get a better view.
